Yoga, Pray, & Play ~ The Art of Deep Relaxation
February 1~4, 2024
$525
Come REST, RELAX and REJUVENATE at this winter retreat. We will do restorative yoga and experience yoga nidra, the art of deep relaxation. Relaxation is a learned skill and participants will learn and experience various techniques for relaxation. The heart of yogic teachings lies in the belief that a self-fulfilled person is a healthy person, free from dis-ease caused by stress and improper living habits. The practice of yoga is designed to lead the person to an ever-increasing knowledge of oneself and the needs of their body and mind in order to achieve and maintain good physical and mental health and spiritual harmony. We will listen to that deeper part of ourselves and experience the connection of the mind, body, heart and spirit. This retreat is for the new and curious about yoga to the experienced yogis and yoginis. Please wear loose comfortable clothing and bring a journal and a mat.

As we enter the liturgical season of lent in the Church's calendar, let's take time to slow down, pay attention and revisit our relationship with our gentle God. The weekend will provide some input with suggestions for personal prayer with plenty of time for reflection and relaxation. Take advantage of the sacred ground of Linwood, the chapel, library, and Eucharistic liturgy. Set the tone for the days before our celebration of the Paschal Mystery.
