Service Description

Aging Contemplatively: The Body Leads the Way The messages from our culture tell us we are entering the "best years of our lives," yet our bodies keep reminding us that we are aging. What are often surprising, annoying, and frightening signals of diminishment are the soul's invitations to a great, and ultimately, final interior journey, the culmination of our spiritual lives. Presenter: Janet Corso By Zoom: Wednesday, January 11: 6 - 8pm Aging Contemplatively: The Soul's 'Ripening' God always calls us to greater freedom, especially as we age and time becomes precious. Can we cooperate and allow the soul to ripen or age like a good Hudson Valley apple on its vine or do we cling to old identities or patterns that are familiar and shrivel in our unwillingness to risk spiritual maturity? Presenter: Janet Corso By Zoom: Wednesday, January 11: 6 - 8 pm Bio Janet Corso is a spiritual director and retreat and program presenter. Former director of Mariandale Retreat and Conference Center, she taught philosophy for 33 years and founded and directed Sarabrae Women’s Spirituality Center. She currently trains and supervises spiritual directors here at Linwood Spiritual Center.
